Gaza War: Children and Women Killed

Innocent Lives Lost in Ongoing Conflict

The ongoing Gaza war has claimed the lives of over 34,000 people, including a devastating number of women and children. Since the brutal Israeli offensive began on October 7, 2023, relentless bombardments of the Gaza Strip have left no child in Israel or Gaza unscathed.

Grim Situation in Gaza Strip

The precarious situation in the Gaza Strip has resulted in a staggering increase in premature births. Tens of thousands of babies have been born since October, but the lack of proper medical care is putting both mothers and infants at risk.

In contrast to the average of 31 children per woman in Israel, the Gaza Strip faces a different reality. According to figures from April 2024, of the 34,488 Palestinians killed in Gaza, a staggering 14,500 were children and 9,500 were women.

The Israeli government's relentless attacks have left the Gaza Strip's healthcare system in tatters. Women are forced to give birth in dire conditions, often without access to water, pain medication, or even anesthesia for cesarean sections.

According to aid workers, an average of 180 women give birth each day in the Gaza Strip, facing unimaginable pain and hardship due to the lack of basic amenities. This crisis has left innocent children and mothers vulnerable, with their lives and well-being hanging in the balance.
